The Anthony School offers a tennis team for both boys and girls in the 7th and 8th grades. The team competes in the fall against both private and public schools. The tennis season begins September 1 and ends in mid-October with a tournament. The regular season consists of about 1 match per week played after school. Anthony's home courts are nearby at Rebsamen Tennis Center. Each match offers the opportunity to play both singles and doubles.
No formal Anthony team practices are held, although team members are encouraged to practice against each other as their schedule allows. Because no formal practices are offered, Anthony team players need to have mastered the basics of the game including: serve successfully, keep score, rally at least 3 times.
